They work with a fantastic psychotherapist and have helped to develop a therapy specifically designed to help people who were at Hillsborough, including pens 3 and 4 survivors and those who witnessed what happened.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>They raise funds to pay for the therapy so that no one has to worry about funding it themselves. They are also now able to offer the therapy to people from outside the Liverpool area as it has proved successful over zoom during lockdown. He went looking for someone to talk to about his suicidal thoughts but didn\u2019t find the urgent help he so desperately needed. James\u2019 Place opened its first centre in 2018 in Liverpool, since then we have supported over 450 men to help them find hope for the future. We will be opening a second centre in London in 2021.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>At James\u2019 Place, our mission is stop men dying by suicide. In the UK suicide is the leading cause of death in men under 50 and 3 quarters of suicides are men. We believe that every suicide is preventable. We address this through innovative therapy in a comfortable and safe environment. In this calm, non-clinical setting we help men through their suicidal crisis and our work saves lives. Our support is free &amp; responds to each man\u2019s circumstances.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u201cThe warmth, you can feel it as soon as you walk through the door. They work with a fantastic psychotherapist and have helped to develop a therapy specifically designed to help people who were at Hillsborough, including pens 3 and 4 survivors and those who witnessed what happened.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>They raise funds to pay for the therapy so that no one has to worry about funding it themselves. They are also now able to offer the therapy to people from outside the Liverpool area as it has proved successful over zoom during lockdown.
